For the Royal Opera Design Challenge, I have decided to do a virtual reality tour of the Royal Opera House as I think that it would be a good way of getting young people interested in Opera and Ballet. As primary research for my final piece, I visited an exhibition about how video games are made at the V&A. The exhibition looked at initial sketches and ideas to the block mesh and the final art of the game. We were shown the programming of the one of the very first games 'Pong'. We were shown the coding that made the game work. The exhibition also displayed a video of a battle in a game; the video had a voiceover of someone who worked on the game and they talked about some of the secrets win the game.
This showed me the work that goes behind making video games and how VR is coming into play.
